Virtual Reality is here, and with it comes several video games aiming to take advantage of what it has to offer. The latest title to come with VR support is no other than “LANDER 8099,” a flight simulator with high-tech armored soldiers.
It’s not the first flight simulator game for VR, but according to the developer, Ivanovich Games, it is the first with high-tech armored soldiers. Bear in mind; they are the same guys behind the hit VR game, “Final Soccer VR,” which isn’t a bad game if we’re being totally honest here.
Essential Elements of LANDER 8099
We should point out that this beautiful game comes with a Story Mode and an Arcade Both. The developers promised 50 missions for the Arcade Mode and 20 missions for the Story Mode. That’s quite a lot and should give VR owners on PC some much-needed fun.
“FEEL AS IF YOU WERE THE REAL IRON MAN AND MASTER YOUR FLYING SKILLS TO GET THROUGH 50 DIFFERENT MISSIONS IN ARCADE MODE AND 20 LEVELS IN STORY MODE,” ACCORDING TO DEVELOPERS, IVANOVICH GAMES. “NO OTHER GAME HAS SHOWN SUCH A REALISTIC EFFECT!”
LANDER 8099 Platform Support
So far, “LANDER 8099” supports the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. Furthermore, it’s available right now for purchase on Steam for the cool price of $14.99. At the moment, there’s no word if the game will hit other platforms such as the Microsoft Xbox One X, or the Windows Store in the near future.
Microsoft is hard at work on its Mixed Reality initiative, and we suspect many game developers would want to get onboard.
Time will tell if this game takes off in the way it should. It looks fun, and it has armored soldiers to toy around with. That’s enough to get excited about our book, not to mention; the official trailer made a good first impression.
