Aliens Want to Steal Earth’s Wi-Fi and Cat Videos: Stop Them in ‘Coffee Crisis’
Arcade-style games are some of the most fun titles, and it all boils down to their simplicity in design and colorful world. The latest arcade game, Coffee Crisis, a game that was first released physically for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive is no different.
The game is set to release on Steam come May 2, 2018, and from what we can tell from the video, it’s going to be a blast. It’s one of those brawler-type games with the ability to take players back to the 90s experience, and that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
If you’re into 16-bit action, then you should feel right at home with Coffee Crisis. It’s much of what you’ve come to expect because most 16-bit arcade games are similar in design and play style.
What is Cofee Crisis about
Expect to fight against aliens and humans they control in a bid to protect the world’s Wi-Fi.
“Coffee Crisis is a classic arcade style brawler that will take you right back to the nineties. Play solo, or team up with a friend and save the Earth’s WiFi from a nefarious alien plot.”
The aliens’ folks will fight against are called the Smurglian, and the plan is to steal the world’s coffee, cat videos, cat videos, and Wi-Fi. Let’s be honest, we can’t just sit back while alien creatures take our Wi-Fi and send us back 10,000 years in the past.
Players are tasked with playing as Nick and Ashley, who are two Black Forge Coffeehouse baristas. Not only that, but they are also deemed as galaxy warriors with the ability to remove the Smurglian threat from Earth.
Play solo or multiplayer
What’s interesting about Coffee Crisis is the fact that players can go about it by themselves or join up with a friend to defeat enemies. We understand the game has eight levels, and at one point, players will venture off into space to do battle.
We enjoy the fact that players can team up with each other to take down this alien threat before they remove all the Wi-Fi from Earth. Hopefully, the game increases the challenge with two players on screen.
